About Me

Kia Ora, I'm Venessa and I started my photography journey 14 years ago.

After snapping away and studying the business of photography, I decided to leave Invercargill at age 20.

I moved to Perth to pursue a career in photography and landed a role in one of Australia's leading photography companies which specialised in natural studio portraiture.

I feel so privileged to have trained under master photographers and become an accredited photographer myself. After 4 years I decided it was time to come home to Invercargill. In 2018 I started photographing Real Estate and working in marketing. My true passion has always been photographing people... for me, portraiture is not just taking a photo of someone, It's psychology. It's important to understand how people want to be photographed and to make them feel special. My goal is to bring out your authentic self, whether that be in a solo or family shoot. It's my job to make it a fun experience and I love seeing when people know that they can be themselves during the session, that's when I know I've done my job. :D
